Tests and Results
Most test results are available within five days, although X-ray results take longer.
We will normally contact you only in the event that further action is required; we will not contact you if your results are normal.
You should call Brenchley Surgery after 2pm for test results, or ask us to enable your online account so that you can see test results.
Our reception staff will only give test results to the patient or a nominated person named in the patient's record, and they will not give results until they have been viewed by the doctor. Our receptionists are not qualified to comment on results therefore it is your responsibility to check them and make any necessary follow-up appointment with the doctor.
Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them. Please ask at reception if you would wish to give this consent.
